Happy Memorial Day Crafters! I have been creating a couple of albums for a dear friend who had this wonderful photo of his father. I wanted to create something special so I asked him to pose as his father had and made this plaque for his mother's birthday.
I love how it came out, frame from Michaels, the mat is actually the white mat that came with the frame, just painted with copper, tan and black paint. Love the look with sepia printed photos.

Hello Crafters! Have been AWOL for a bit, but hopefully will be doing more posts again soon. Getting ready for the Michigan Mega Meet which should start the crafty juices flowing.
Today I have a very simple yet beautiful Easter card that was made from Indie Art of all things. Cut to fit with the center pop-dotted up and the simple Happy Easter phrase cut from cart of the same name.

Valentines -------
Hello Crafters! Well I must say that the holiday season has flown by again and we are all hopeful for the New Year, welcome 2012!
Like many of us, I didn't get to all the crafty goodness that I wanted to so I decided to get ahead of the next holiday that cried for cards and other goodies.
This is not a Cricut item but I liked the look just the same.
Ran black paper through Shutter Cuttlebug folder then ran grey Cat's Eye over to highlight. Punched two strips of paper from MME Lost and Found-- Martha Stewart punch. Made love embellishment that is pop-dotted for texture and a quick bit of ribbon. Now the fun part,
Here is the inside, I have loved Kimmie's Stamps and I call them my alter-ego. So we have her on the inside to just shake things up. Stamped and colored with Copics------- so there you have it! Valentines Card #1----- stay tuned!

Home Decor---- Flowers
Hello crafters----- today I have a layout that just cried for some flowers. These were actually made with 4 layers cut from Plantin Schoolbook----
Background paper is from Bo Bunny, clock overlay from stash.
Take a pencil or round object and roll back petals slightly. Place one flower flat with glue dot in center. Take the 5 petal flower and flatten bottom and glue to “base”. Next take 4 petal flower (print) flatten bottom and glue in place, offsetting petals. Do the same with 3 petal flower. Then take the one petal piece (print) make a loose roll, snip the bottom for a better fit and glue for a center of your rose. For a fuller rose you can take the remaining 2 petal piece, fold in half, overlap a bit and glue on seam. Snip the bottom and fit into the 3 petal layer. Now embellish to your liking!
Background paper is from Bo Bunny, clock overlay from stash.
Plantin Schoolbook---- Each flower requires 4 six petal flowers, cut at 2 ½ inches with Shadow feature. Before removing from mat, spray lightly with Glimmer Mist Sand and Diamond Dust. These were done with 3 crate paper flowers and one vintage print. Take a flower and cut between one petal to center, put glue dot on one petal and overlap making a 5 petal flower. Take printed flower, make two cuts to center (keep petal), glue dot petals together making a 4 petal flower. Do the same with the fourth flower, but make a three petal flower.

DECEMBER BLOG HOP

Welcome to our monthly hop around the block and visit a wide range of wonderful Cricut crafters. You will see over 100 different Cricut cartridges in use in our two day hop!
You should have come from the ever talented Kat's blog. If you did not please start at the beginning of the hop http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/
so many great projects we don't want you to miss! Should you get lost today's lineup can be found at the bottom of this post. Don't forget to check both day's postings as well!
My most favorite cart of all is Nifty Fifty and my friends on the design team tease me that it is the only cart I own---- well not quite true but it is so my style. Krafting Kimmie Stamps fit right in with this cartridge so here is my "Man Card".
Paper is from Mod Retro DCVW pack, car is cut at 3.75" including all layers with Stickles added for headlights and steering wheel. Dude colored with Copics------
I really liked the Word Collage projects but I wanted something speclal for just that special person. So taking the idea from Word Collage I went through my Gypsy looking for different fonts to create the same look for---- obviously--- an attorney. Here is my offering, using Art Noveau, Straight from the Nest, Blackletter, Lyrical Letters, Don Juan, Songbird, Winter Wonderland and for the "pens" Lovely Floral. Background paper MME Lost and Found.
Please feel free to follow/comment as that is how we crafters learn. Enjoy the journey!!!
Your last stop on the hop is the ever popular Erica and look for blog candy!!!!
